Shortly after the death of oligarch and Wagner, Russian Mercenary leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin on the 23rd of August 2023. The remaining Wagner Forces were directed to accommodation encampments in the Tsel military base in Mogilev region, Belerus. However through periodical aerial surveillance images captured from August 2023 to January 2024, provided by Earth imaging company Planet Labs, they appeared to show the gradual dismantling of tents in the camp, indicating the withdrawal of Wagner forces from Belarus.

US CIA and Ukrainian SBU ( Security Service of Ukraine or Sluzhba Bezpeky Ukrayiny) have infiltrated Belarus to determine the location and supplies of the North Korean munitions on route to Ukraine. North Korea has agreed to supply 1 million 122mm , 152mm howitzer and 122mm GRAD rockets to Russia and NATO forces have noticed an increased number of flights from Pyongyang to Minsk.

In an apparent escalation and further evidence of the three way agreement between North Korea, Russia and Belarus. William J Burns director of the CIA reported to the senate that there was evidence of rearming of Russian and Belarusian forces on the norther border of Ukraine fearing a repeat of the failed February 2022 invasion from the north towards Kiev.

Republican Senator Josh Hawley, questioning Burns, challenged the director seeking a confirmation that that was no covert operations being carried out in Ukraine or Belarus. Burns did confirm that the CIA was helping with “over the horizon” intelligence picture in the region

The Institute for the Study of War and the Critical Threats Project has now reported significant changes to infrastructure and amenities, in a small region nearing the Belerusian Border with the North of Ukraines Kiev Region. Fighting and logistical support positions, close to the border, are being constructed and small irregularly spread troops, suspected to be remaining Wagner PMC or alternative Russian Government managed private forces, are beginning to occupy the area
The changes being witnessed, are reminiscent of the of the failed February 2022 invasion from the north.

Specialist reconnaissance units, including USN Devgru Black Sqn and UKSF SRR have been given clearance to plan and execute covert deployments into Belerus with an aim to identify and understand current situations and potential further threats of escalation with regards to the Russo-Ukrainian war.
